Family Photographer Chicago
Photography became my path forward. Motherhood is messy but man is it beautiful. Taking photos of the things around me allowed me to see the simple beauty in the seemingly mundane. My mission is to show other mothers the beauty in the every day.
I'm a natural newborn and family photographer serving Chicago and the Northern Suburbs. I live in northwest Evanston with my husband, two daughters and two fur babies. For me, family comes first. But being a mother is only part of who I am. Three years ago when I was suffering from postpartum depression I rediscovered myself.

"She also did such a great job getting all of the shots while I was playing with my son and made it fun and easy. I will treasure the photos forever, and can't wait to have her take some of my now family of four!"
If there is one thing to know about me it's that I value honesty above all else. I believe with a passion that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. I connect with people who are compassionate and love deeply. Life is too short to not be your true self.
I may have grown up in Minnesota but Guatemala has my heart. We even lived their for a year with our daughters to be immersed in the culture, learn the language and be close to all the family we have living their. You'll see a lot of Guatemalan influence in our home because I will never have enough textiles!
Being a mom is something I always dreamed of but being a mom is not my only identity. Too often I believe moms lose who they are when they have kids. I've learned that I need to pursue my passions and creativity outside of my 'mom' title. In the end every thing I do is with these two beautiful humans in mind. I want to set an example that they can be whatever they want and being a wife and have children is not the end goal.
I strive to bring a little moment of indulgence to each day. Whether it's enjoying a decadent piece of chocolate, sipping a cocktail or simply sitting in a silent room. Spending a moment doing something special every day brings me so much joy. Approaching self care with intention is something we all need a little more of.
When I die I hope people say, "she knew how to throw a party!" Baby shower, game night, dinner party...I love them all. I love to take care of the people in my life and pamper them with special moments. (I'm the person who threw themed dinner parties at age 16). I'm telling you I will find any excuse for a party.
Life is about more than milestones. Every day is a day that deserves to be remembered. No matter how messy the house is, or chaotic it may feel your story is beautiful. A session with me is about hitting pause on all the worries in your life and connecting with the people you love. I want you to fully ground yourself in your body and this moment and feel the love the flows from your heart to your spouse and your children.
