A crisp fall day, golden leaves blanket the ground. The trees cast a golden hue that surrounds you. Pair that with the families gorgeous fall styling and what you have is a session that gives you all the fall nostalgia.
The Oliver family decided late in the season they wanted to have some family photos and I’m so thankful they did. I was worried that we would have a hard time finding the amazing fall color that had taken place three weeks before but on the campus of Northwestern University we found a stunning fall oasis.
After warming everyone up with some group shots we got moving as requested my Avett.
Avett was styled with an adorable plaid hooded shirt and the coolest high tops. He was more interested in the leaves than my jokes and may have been pre-occupied with the donut he was promised after the session. I don’t blame him…donuts often pre occupy my mind too.
Avett’s favorite person to be photographed with that day was his mom. Something about sons and moms, get’s me every time.
Isla on the other hand enjoyed every second of her time in the spotlight. Her adorable shirt from Zara had the feminine touch of a flutter shoulder and her boots on her little legs just made me smile.
She wanted to be alone in most photos but we were able to get her to allow others to enjoy the spotlight for a few moments as well.
Since we had so many leaves on the ground we of course had to have some fun with them. Because, there is no better way to end a session than with leaves all in your hair.
Can’t you almost smell the pumpkin spice?
Love you Oliver family. Thanks for being amazing always.
