Style Tips: Summer Decor Refresh

Nothing makes you realize you are in a need of a decor refresh like spending 50 days in Quarantine. If like me you are looking around your living room and getting sick of the same four walls then may I suggest a little refresher. A simple switch out of some easy decor items can really take a room that feels dated to a fresh oasis. I’ve pulled together some of my favorite decor and accessories items to snag this summer.

1. Black Vase 2. Pillow 3. Brass Boxes 4. Plant Stand 5. Lamp 6. Italy Coffee Table book 7. Round Cube 8. Throw 9. Wood vase 10. Sculpture 11. Doormat

black vase

I love the simple textural detail of the rim on this feminine black vase. This vase from Anthropologie would look just a beautiful empty layered on a mantel or bookshelf as it would filled with fresh cut flowers as a center piece or on a side table.

terracotta pillow

Linen & Cloth has all the gorgeous pillow covers you could want for summer. I love the variety of prints and colors they have to offer. They even have curated collections of pillows to make decorating a breeze. If like me you are in love with the terracotta trend check out this Kufri Cusco Stripe pillow.

brass boxes

Beautiful stacked together or placed individually. The warm classic tone of these brass boxes is a wonderful addition to any room. Also, if you haven’t check out @shopeanecdote by Danielle Moss (one of the co-founders of The Everygirl Media Group) you are missing out my friend.

plant stand

I will admit I am a little bit of a plant lady. I truly believe a room does not feel complete until it has something living. This simple plant stand from Anthropologie would look great holding a snake plant or simple fern. Made with metal and stoneware it adds a relaxed clean look to any room.

table lamp

I could not be more in love with this textured wood ribbed table lamp from Target. That’s not a typo friends, it’s from Target! This Project 62 stunner is only $20!

italy coffee table book

We may not be able to travel right now but this beautiful coffee table book will take you on a tour of Italy without ever leaving your sofa.

round cube

Another winner from target. These beautiful upholstered cubes are part of Studio McGees collaboration for Target. These are great for adding texture and extra sitting to a living or family room.

throw

Changing out my throw blanket from winter to summer is one of my favorite ways to freshen up a space for the new season. This light cotton throw from Citizenry is soft dessert hue perfection.

wood vase

natural elements have a way of brining warmth to a space and I love the light wood stone and simple shape of this target piece.

sculpture

sculptural pieces are so often under utilized in spaces and I love the dark metal paint finish of this organic shaped sculpture from Jayson Home

doormat

Add a little happy to your front door with a fresh doormat to greet visitors or just the door man when they come over. This geometric patterned mat is the prettiest shades from a front step.
